Non-Recourse Premium-Financed Life Insurance
Why non-recourse premium financing?
Non-recourse premium financing enables you to:
- Get the coverage you need for estate and financial planning purposes by
deferring the majority of the costs of the premiums.
- Receive a "short-term" loan, 24 to 36 months, in order to evaluate your
estate plan and financial situation to determine if continued coverage is
needed. It is ideal to do this when you are relatively healthy.
- Obtain a loan for the coverage without tying up cash or other assets - the
life insurance policies are the ONLY collateral for the loan.
- You have these options at loan maturity
- Pay off the loan, have the policy free and clear of encumbrances, adjust
the coverage to meet current lifestyle needs, and continue to make premium
payments on your own.
- Exercise the “Non-Recourse” clause of the contract, surrender the
policy, and simply walk away with no liability or obligation to repay any
portion of the original financing package.
- Opt to potentially refinance the policy for another term, much like
refinancing a mortgage, or obtain a new 10 year loan to pay up the policy.
